*jun on the landscape - 新加坡

Been told that this title sounds nothing like me. Perhaps.

Ripped it off a very hilarious novel (it says so on the cover) - Blott On The Landscape - by Tom Sharpe.

Assuming I know you, feel free to rant, whisper sweet nothings or just say hi.

  1. With my finger in the wind

I have a sense of direction. Shocking, I know. I was beside myself with surprise when I discovered this. It seems the lack of easy public transportation and friends I can depend on to hold my hand and lead me to safety has driven my lazy free-loading sense-of-direction side of brain to emerge from the shadows and holla “Go there! Now, there! 东-南-西-北!”

I must be a very attentive friend :P Without someone to chat with as I skip along the streets of Beijing, I now absorb a lot of details in the landscape that I use to orientate and navigate. This is very new for me. Usually what is between starting point and destination is a black box. I mean, I still can’t put my finger on the route home from SMU, but man o man… I can tell my chaoyang from my haidian.
